Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide to us directly, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information we receive from third parties that help us deliver our services.
Information You Provide
Identifiers such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and business name when you complete a contact form, subscribe to our email list, book a consultation, or create a client account.
Account credentials when you register for or use the client portal, including username and securely hashed password.
Engagement information such as service preferences, project details, supporting documents, and communications you exchange with us.
Notarization information for Remote Online Notary sessions, including government-issued identification, knowledge-based authentication responses, audio and video recordings of the session, and the executed documents, as required by applicable notary law.
Billing information you provide to pay invoices or to set up recurring billing. Card and bank account numbers are entered into and processed by our third-party payment processors. Eon does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems.
Optional information you choose to provide in messages, surveys, testimonials, or uploaded files.
Information Collected Automatically
Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and approximate geographic location derived from IP address.
Cookies and similar technologies, including first-party cookies that keep the Site working and third-party cookies used for analytics and advertising. You can adjust cookie settings through your browser. Some features of the Site, including the client portal, may not function properly without certain cookies.
Information from Third Parties
Analytics and advertising partners that report aggregated and individual interaction data, including Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising pixels, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Google Ads conversion tracking.
Email marketing platforms that capture engagement data such as opens, clicks, and unsubscribes when you receive our emails.
Identity verification, RON technology, e-signature, scheduling, payment, and accounting providers that we use to deliver services to you.
How We Use Your Information
We use information for the following purposes:
To respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and provide the services you request.
To create and maintain your client account, deliver client portal access, and securely exchange documents and messages.
To verify identity, satisfy notary recordkeeping obligations, and complete Remote Online Notary sessions.
To process payments, send invoices, manage subscriptions, and maintain accurate financial records.
To deliver email newsletters, service updates, and marketing communications you have opted to receive, and to honor your unsubscribe requests.
To improve the Site, understand how visitors use it, and optimize content, features, and marketing campaigns.
To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, protect the rights and safety of Eon and others, and comply with legal obligations.
To exercise or defend legal claims and respond to lawful requests from regulators, courts, or other authorities.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate the Site and to understand how visitors engage with it. The categories we use include:

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
Service providers: vendors that perform services on our behalf, including hosting, analytics, advertising delivery, email marketing, scheduling, payment processing, identity verification, e-signature, RON platform, accounting software, and cybersecurity providers. These vendors receive only the information necessary to perform their services and are contractually required to protect it.
Professional advisors: our attorneys, accountants, insurers, and consultants when reasonably necessary.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Eon, our clients, or others.
With your direction: when you ask us to share information with a third party, such as your bank, attorney, lender, or counterparty in a notarization.
Some of our advertising and analytics partners may be considered to engage in “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state privacy laws. You may opt out of this activity using the controls described in Section 6.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
The right to know or access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
The right to request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with documentation of authority.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia residents have additional rights under their state privacy laws. The categories of personal information described in Section 2 align with the categories defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and analogous state laws. We have not knowingly sold or shared the personal information of consumers under 16.
How We Protect Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, authentication requirements, vendor due diligence, and ongoing security training. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, satisfy legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and recordkeeping requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Notarization records are retained for the period required by the laws of the state under which the notary commission is held. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it using commercially reasonable methods.
Children’s Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct our services to minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information may contact contact@eonap.com.
Third-Party Links
The Site may include links to third-party websites, applications, and resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
International Visitors
Our services are intended for individuals and businesses located in the United States.
